AWB works for the right to education for assyrians

Education plays a major role in creating stability, peace, prosperity and democracy in war-affected countries. For children themselves, education is the key to power and confidence.
We have all been to school and all we can do is to pretend or have an opinion about where problems remain, and how they can be solved. That may seem like a natural phenomenon among many but we at Assyrians Without Borders knows that such is not the case.

Why do we value education and all the resources that provide the opportunity for education, in particular resources making children and young people to reach school safely and secure?

Over Christmas AWB asked our contributors to help us buy a school bus whose task would be to carry Assyrian students to and from various schools in northern Iraq, in the Nineveh-province. We are today proud to say that the bus is full-time transporting and properly appreciated by the students and their families. It carries over 60 students daily.

Education has played a crucial role in modern society, the emergence and development of ideas. It requires the training to understand and operate in society.

Once again, your contributions have paved the way for a better future for many families and lowered the barriers created by injustice and political games.

Thanks! Together with your support, we take ourselves the future with optimism and hope for even more development.
