Enacted during the annual meeting on 17th February 2007.
§1 Name and See of the Organization
Assyrians Without Borders is an Assyrian nonprofit organization. Assyrians Without Borders is a subsidiary organization of the Assyrian Youth Federation of Sweden. Assyrians Without Borders maintains an independent activity, economy and has no affiliations with political or religious organizations. Assyrians Without Borders collects funds in an ethical way to ensure our independence. Assyrians Without Borders has its see in Stockholm, Sweden.
§2 Purposes and Assignments
Assyrians Without Borders carries out public collections for humanitarian and charitable purposes for Assyrians living in Assyria. The organization works to improve living conditions for Assyrians (also called Syriacs and Chaldeans) in their ancestral lands.
Assyrians Without Borders has the following a ssignments:
1. Raise living standards and improve life conditions for the Assyrian people in Assyria.
2. Adopt Assyrian villages in Assyria and work to provide for their needs.
3. Provide Assyrians in need with immediate aid.
4. Help young Assyrians to improve their future in Assyria.
5. Spread information about and seek to raise opinion around Assyrians in need and also about the organization, its work and principals.
6. Collect funds for the activities of the organization.
§3 Membership
Membership in the board of the organization is open for everyone who in accordance with §2 has worked or works for the organization in Sweden or abroad.
One becomes a member by paying the annual fee agreed upon by the annual meeting.
The board has the right to exclude a member who committs serious side steps from the constitution of Assyrians Without Borders, its ethical guidelines and instructions for accounting. Members receive continuous information about the activities of the organization.
Only one vote per membership (both for individuals and organizations).
A member can leave the organization by not paying the annual fee for the coming year and by notifying the board in a written message about the desire to quit the organization.
§4 Organization
Assyrians Without Borders cooperates in some cases with the Assyrian Youth federation of Sweden.

§6 The Board
The board is made up of a minimum of 5 regular members and two deputies. The board elects within itself the chairman, vice chairman, treasurer, a nd secretary.
The board chairman and secretary summon and prepare the meetings of the board.
The board has the right to call in persons with no right to vote and appoint working groups or investigation groups.
The board decides which persons have the right to sign the accounts of the organization and which persons have the right to be spokespersons for the organization.
Board decisions are taken with simple majority when at least 3 regular members of the board are present. Decisions about election of the chairman must be taken by at least two thirds of the numerically complete board.
The deputies resume the functions, including the right to vote, of the regular member of the board if he/she is not present.
The minutes of the board shall be approved by the chairman of the meeting plus at least two of the members of the board.
§7 Financial Year
The financial year of Assyrians Without Borders follows the calendar year.
§8 Annual Meeting
The annual meeting is the organizations’ foremost forum for decision taking. The annual meeting shall be announced at least six weeks in advance and take place no later than nine month after the end of the financial year. Notice to attend the annual meeting shall be sent by mail or email to the members of the organization, as well as be announced on the homepage of the organization.
The board is elected for a term of office of two years.
The agenda of the annual meeting shall always include the following points:
1. Approval of the announcement of the annual meeting according to the regulations
2. Establishment of the voting roster
3. Approval and establishment of the meeting agenda
4. Election of chairman for the meeting, secretary, counter of votes, and two m embers to check the minutes
5. Presentation and approval of the financial year, the economical report and the auditors’ report
6. Establishment of the member fee for next year.

8. Election of deputies, auditors and a deputy for the auditor for a period of one year.
The annual meeting shall also take up bills and suggestions from the board. Bills shall be submitted to the board at least one month before the annual meeting. Bills and suggestions shall be sent to the members at least two weeks before the annual meeting.
§9 The Extra Annual Meeting
The extra annual meeting is held when the board finds it necessary or when at least 2/3 of the members ask for it. Summoning to the extra annual meeting shall be sent to the members at least two weeks before the meeting and must contain the reason for the extra annual meeting.
§10 Changes of Constitution
The members of Assyrians Without Borders decide about changes in the constitutions and the aims of the organization. A 2/3 majority is needed for such changes.
§11 The Disbandment of the Organization
Disbandment of the organization shall be decided upon by two succeeding and legal annual meetings, of which at least one must be an ordinary annual meeting. A 2/3 majority is required at each annual meeting. Any remaining resourses of the organization shall be given to the Swedish Red Cross due to the disbandment.
